Sapphire Infusion Pump

This interactive course uses guided video demonstration, interactive presentations, a checklist, and more to provide you with the knowledge and comfort to begin using and troubleshooting the Sapphire IV pump. This course will provide:

1. A general overview of the pump and functions.
2. How to use Clinical Care Areas.
3. The hardware and software components.
4.  How to use the touch screen.
5. How to prime the pump
6. Administration set orientation
7. Infusion overview and drug library
8. General settings and drug calculator
9. Delivering a bolus
10. Common alarms and troubleshooting
11. Tips for transport

This presentation is applicable for both in hospital and pre hospital practitioners. 

Note:

• This course will take between 4-5 hours to complete the lesson and quiz.
• Once completed you will be provided a completion certificate for your governing body and continuing medical education (CME) credit!
• Alberta College of Paramedics members on completion, receive 15 continuing education credits
